Sacrifice for Missions?

Those who attended the Rodgers Missions Conference were touched to learn of the sacrifices that have been made in Mexico by Pastor Efrain Garcia and his church for taking a stand on the truths of the local New Testament church. The Church has literally sacrificed everything to keep their missionaries on the field and to keep the church going. They have recently pulled out of the grips of an association to maintain true church authority. Having done this, they have lost all other churches support of their missionaries and have been persecuted by those in the association as well.

The members have sold household appliances and more to keep things afloat. They currently share one stove for 200 people. Have we in the U.S. really made sacrifices for missions and the local New Testament church? Can we bear to admit the truth after learning of such devotion?

On the Road

We have enjoyed a wonderful time on the road. Each church has been very hospitable, kind and loving. Over the past few months, we have been in West Texas, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. I hope we have been even half the blessing to each church as they have been to us. It is a joy to meet more of God's people as we share the burden for the Greek people.

Just Ahead

We will be attending the Missions Conference at Dearborn Baptist Church in Dearborn Indiana October 6ht through 8th. We are looking forward to meeting new pastors and missionaries, as well as seeing those we already know.

In November, we will be going down to Mexico to Pastor Efrain Garcia's Missions Conference. we are excited about seeing the work and sacrifice that the church has made to practice truth.

We will be in Texas and Oklahoma for the remainder of November until February. We look forward to seeing many churches in this area.
