How do you model God’s holiness?

(Isaiah 6:1-5)

I. RECOGNIZE GOD’S HOLINESS.

A. The definition of God’s holiness:

1. God is separate from all that is unclean and evil.

2. He is positively pure and thus distinct from all others.

B. The declaration of God’s holiness:

1. (Isaiah 6:1-4)

2. (Isaiah 5:16)

3. (1 Samuel 2:2)

4. (Habakkuk 1:12)

5. (Psalm 47:8)

6. (John 17:11)

7. (Psalm 99:5)

8. (Revelation 4:8)

9. (Psalm 111:9)

10. (Revelation 6:10)

II. RESPOND TO GOD’S HOLINESS.

A. We are not worthy to approach a holy God (Isaiah 6:5) .

B. Christ makes us worthy to approach a holy God.

C. God demands holiness from His children.

1. He demanded it from the Israelites (Leviticus 11:44) .

2. He demands it from us too (1 Peter 1:15-16) .
